Stefanie Parnell is a singer/songwriter from Montreal, Canada, who always knew that music was her calling. From a young age, the budding artist spent her days rehearsing for talent shows and small concerts that would help get her name on the music scene. After receiving her first guitar, she taught herself how to play and has since been composing her own music. Stefanie’s signature blend of folk and country, paired with her stellar vocals and acoustic guitar, has gained her a reputation among musicians in Montreal. She has had the opportunity to work with several notable artists in the city such as; David Hodges, SRH, Ben Cardilli, Milan Boronell, Nation Ruckus, Brittany Kennell, Joey Langlois, Matt Holubowski, Pat Di Meo and Brittany Kwasnik.
Pulling inspiration from the struggles of her day-to-day living, her music resonates with everyone who has been met with difficult times in life. It’s the meeting of Stefanie Parnell’s honest lyrics and the power of her raw music that will pull you right in.
In December 2011, Stefanie released her debut EP Road to You, a collection of 7 songs about love and loss. Produced and mixed by Connor Seidel at Evermooraudio, and mastered by Marc Olivier Bouchard at Le Lab Mastering, the EPs lead single and music video Road To You has over 11,000 views on YouTube. Its success granted her the opportunity to perform at several renowned music events; the Hudson Festival in 2011, 2012 and 2013, the Shigawake Music Fair in 2013, and the Montreal Folk Festival in 2011, 2013 and 2014.

She co-wrote the song Secrets with David Hodges for his 2012 release The Honest Man, and then joined forces with him once again for the music video, which now has over 70,000 views, and seeks to spread the word about domestic abuse prevention. One of her latest projects was a collaboration between 7 musicians in Montreal called The Honest Family. Each with their independent careers, they came together to write and produce a self-titled album that was released in June 2013. The 9 songs range from hip hop, to rock, to soul, and features a new, unique version of the track Secrets.
Stefanie recently released her second EP Mountains Beyond Mountains in May 2014. The project consists of 6 songs about overcoming obstacles. Her sophomore EP has a more mature sound than her first release, Road To You. This folk/country project, with a hint of rock and jazz caters to any age group. Her first single Make Things Right has had radio success and has gained her attention from Warner Music Canada and independent label, Disques Passeport.
Beyond her EPs, her live performances are undoubtedly the easiest way to see how she infuses each of her songs with pure, real emotion.
